Peter L. Levin, PhD is the CEO and founder of Amida Technology Solutions, and an internationally recognized leader in data interoperability, data security, and open source solutions. While serving as the first-ever Chief Technology Officer at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Peter co-created and led the inter-agency development of the Blue Button personal health record, now the most widely used personal health record in the country.

An engineer by training, Peter began his career at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and was later associate dean for research and graduate studies in the College of Engineering at Boston University. He was a National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator, an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow in the Department of Mathematical Physics at the Technical University of Darmstadt, and a winner of an NIST Advance Technology Program award.

A passionate entrepreneur, Peter has served as executive director of the open source network security company Astaro, co-founder of the GPS-based cybersecurity company Zanio, and co-founding CEO of DAFCA, an EDA company focused on semiconductor test.
